Bridging Art & Science
At the heart of my practice is a commitment to inspire curiosity about the natural world and foster a deeper appreciation of its beauty, complexity and interconnectedness. By transforming plants into handmade paper and using these materials to create art, I explore the relationship between nature, scientific discovery and human creativity. Through art, I hope to make science more accessible and encourage us to look more closely at the world around us, finding beauty in its cycles of growth, decay and renewal and discovering new possibilities for creation.
Art as an invitation to scientific curiosity
Develop bodies of work exploring cellular communication, regeneration, growth and transformation, accompanied by short, accessible explanations of the biological ideas behind them.
Exhibitions that connect art + science
Collaborate with researchers or scientific institutions to create exhibitions, installations or public conversations that bring biological research to audiences outside academia.
Advocacy through creative practice
Use artist talks, workshops and occasional essays to explain why fundamental discoveries matter, including discoveries that have no immediate commercial or medical application.
